I Miss You My Friend
by Denise Calaman
I miss you my friend You were carried away like seeds in the wind Without warning Gone forever in the prime of life Our time together was so short Even though you were robbed of a long life And I of a best friend Our time together was long enough for you To make a lasting impression on my life As to what true friendship really is I miss you my friend Never had a friend quite like you Never will again I made a promise to you while you lay dying That I shall seek you out before all others If only to see your whiskers blowing in the breeze One last time I miss you my friend. I love you.
