Buffy

Beloved Buffy ~ part siamese & part ? came to live with mother (would have been 1 year in July) & she was "wild" & would not be petted. She had a seeing problem, couldn't see far off & sometimes even up close, but she had the most beautiful clear blue eyes ever. Creamy vanilla with blended markings won mothers heart & Buffy chose to stay. Mother had her spayed & she went in & out of the house (like she had her own revolving door), but came back home each night to sleep in the house. On 6/20, she didn't come home. Next morning I find out shes missing, so the search is on. Around 10 o'clock (6/21) mother gets my attention & I can tell from the sound of her voice she had found Buffy. The distance from the landscaping (small shrubs & flowers) to the road was 150 to 200 ft or more. That is where she found Buffy, curled up under a shrub (where she loved to play) like she was asleep. She was not. Mother reached down to touch her & she was cold. I picked her up & immediately known she had been hit by a car; her back was broken & fur was gone on places; I don't know how Buffy did it but she crawled from the road to her special place in the shrubs & curled up & died. I know there is a Kitty (& Dog) Heaven & we will all see our pets again one day. I just wish they didn't have to go so soon. All my Love to Buffy, Connie ~ P.S. Buffy, your sister Dixie, who you know lives with me, misses you & sends her love.
