Puppy Angel
Oh where have you gone
My sweet little boy
The days are so empty
With so little joy
Dear mother Ive gone
To a far away place
To give furry hugs
And kiss each little face
My time is now over
On earth you can see
For the good Lord has found
A big job for me
The children who needed me
Called out my name
Chester, were here.
And I called back the same
Im coming I call
As I run like the wind
To meet each little person
Who now is my friend
They talk and I listen
With large floppy ears
They tell me what happened
Through all of their years
I cry when I hear of the pain
They endured
Their life was a mess
And the kids were unsure
I tell them to take
Each day at a time
And lean on me
For a friend you will find
The children and I
Run and have fun
Smell the sweet flowers
And play in the sun
So you see my dear mom
You have nothing to fear
Children need angel puppies
Even up here
