God gives life.
When God feels the time is right
God takes that life away,
To be returned swiftly, smoothly and safely to him.
I asked God what he wanted,
Down on my knees I prayed.
I asked for help and guidance,
To help me, my Lord, obey.
Lord, if its what is needed,
Yes, take this life today.
Thank you for our time together,
I wish that she could stay,
But then I must remember
What the Lord has given
He must one day take away.
