In life I never told you
How much you mean to me,
For I never knew how much I cared
Until you were gone, you see.
You were my sun, my moon,
My world, my stars, and my sky.
I loved you with all my heart,
And never noticed time pass by.
Especially on that day,
When you left me for good.
And my world faded to black
And alone I thought I stood.
You raven hair, the comforting night,
Your eyes, the clear blue sky,
Your body, the rich, warm earth,
You are the light I travel by.
I do miss you so,
Please wait for me.
I'm sorry I didn't tell you before.
I pray that you know and see.
******************************She was a really sweet filly. She was brown with a black mane and tail, four white feet, a REALLY white face, and two blue eyes. She became sick one week after she was born. We got all sorts of treatment for her, but she still died. Today she would have been three years old. I might even be able to ride her now. I do have her half brother, Magic, but it isn't the same. He is my magic, but she was my first foal, my light. I still love my Heaven's Light. 7/23/97-9/16/97. In pace requiescat, Lux.
