Mitzie Girl
by Joanne DiBello
Mitzie Girl... Mother's Day in Heaven for you little girl... who has been with me for sixteen devoted years... You gave us all babies to love and cuddle and bring us all to tears.... Sitting on the couch with you in Selden, L.I. after my stroke established our trust... no curtains open of course you know how I hated the dust... For the longest time Nana has given you Valium's to help you make it through another day... Your vision was so bad - but you were healthy and loved and that's all there was to say... No more charging at Tara as she entered the condo... Your old now and resting as Nana does from one room to the next is as far as you wanted to go... So now your at rest no more banging into walls no more "on the paper" how could this be? You were there for all of Wonkers life... Kim and George grew up with you - now it's so easy to see... Heaven was waiting for you for you were tired, weak and nearly blind...but don't cry, be not forlorn... As the vet told us, Mitzie girl, you are looking over us now, and you can see just like the day you were born... We love you... R.I.P. May 10, 2001 Written by Zi
