The Dakota Poem
by David Durst
Memories of you just playing with toys Our years together were ones of joy You showed us love like we never knew And in return we loved you too. Watching you grow up made us smile Holding you close to our hearts all the while Sometimes you rebelled just to have fun We loved you the same and made you run. As the years go by we held you tight knowing our love was just that right Dakota our dog we'll always love you Thoughts of our happiness we give to you. Your in a safe place were everything is fine We know your happy we see your sign. Take care our Pup we shall return To see you again we all will yearn You gave us love and happiness abound And now its time for you to run around We see you in that special place A day never goes by without your face. We know your feeling safe and sound We'll see you soon and make the rounds. Love Mom and Dad.. See you soon Dakota!
