Popcorn March 2, 1988-May 11, 2001

Popcorn, the dog that left our house but stayed in our hearts. Remembering the first day with her, I was only three. I came home from our grandmother's house and there was a little ball of fur scampering around in the backyard. I fell in love with her even though I was scared at first. Popcorn slept in my bedroom most of the time. She'd usually make it there before me and lie down right in the middle, forcing me to position myself around her. In the winter, Popcorn would use up all of her energy running around in the snow. It would sometimes be hard to find that little Bichon Frise in the snow. Then there were times when my sister and I used to dress her up in a T-shirt and put a ribbon around her neck. Then as the years went by, Popcorn recieved beginning heart failure to go along with a serious liver problem. She was vomitting, always sleeping, never eating. Then on May 11, 2001 our beloved Popcorn passed away. I was called out of school at around 9 o'clock. We buried her in the backyard where my brother claims the dug their first hole together. Popcorn left us at thirteen years old but will stay in our hearts forever.
