Honey Boy
When we would meet you were running up a street with nowhere to go
and no-one to greet.
We were blessed by God the day you came to live with us, and you
touched our lives day after day in your own special way.
You had so much strife in your sweet precious life, but you came
through each time with courage and strength and a determination
to stay with us in our lives.
You loved your little sister and taught her many, many things, you
were her pal and constant companion, and just having you near made
her feel more secure, because she knew you'd be there to protect her
from anything she feared.
She loved to mimick what you did and find your buried treasure, and
trying to get you to play with her brought her delight and pure
pleasure.
You brought us joy and happiness everyday of your life, and all you
ever wanted was love and attention and to be nearby.
When you passed in my arms on April 7th, our hearts were filled with
sadness and rememberance, for you see, just having you around made
us feel so good, our lives felt better and much more complete, for
yours was a gentle soul with a big loving heart and we will miss you
Honey Boy everyday were apart...
