I will tell you a little bit about Mittens
I got Mittens when she was about 4 weeks old. She wasn't very big. I also think she was the runt. the first night we got her we kept her in the bathroom and because she was so small she fit underneath the door and she got out. So we had to chase her around the house. About 2 years later; sometime around 8:00 p.m. we heard some screaching tires and a honking horn. The next morning my mom told me that Mittens had been hit and they couldn't find her. Later on that day I found her and she was as find as can be. I did notice something different about her though; she was missing some teeth and she had a little piece of skin covering the corner of her eyes. When I get a close-up picture of her you will know what I am talking about. In Mittens whole lifetime she had gotten hit by a car about 3 times and the 4th time was her last. I was watching Wheel Of Fortune and my mom was doing the dishes, my brother was outside and Midnight was with him also. My brother saw Mittens cross the road and she got struck. He went out and got her out of the middle of the road. My brother ran in the house and he told my mom and my mom told me not to go outside but I did anyways and I was screaming and yelling I was so upset. The driver who hit her never stopped and he was going way too fast on our road. If he wasn't going about 80 mph she probably would of survived. I went to pet Mittens and I told her that she would be ok and that's when I heard her meow a very weak meow. A meow that I cannot describe because its just the sound of a dying meow. Mittens was pronounced dead around 7:15 p.m. She was 11 years old
