Dearest Annie, You came into our lives & worshipped at the feet of my young daughter. You were always there for her. You lent her your courage, entering the 4H show ring with her for the first time with that famous sloppy grin of yours. We didn't really know what we were doing, but no one ever knew it as you marched in like you owned to place. (And you did!) I wish we knew your full story. I often wonder how in the world anyone could have left you at a shelter, but I am so glad you came into our lives. You shared many victories with my girl. The look on her face as the two of you came out of your first obedience class with that big trophey is a moment I shall hold in my heart until the day we join you again. I still see your classic doggy grin that never left your dear sweet face. You taught her the joy of sharing as the two of you went to nursing homes. Oh, how those ladies miss you! You taught my girl so many wonderful life lessons. Thanks to you, she is now volunteering at a vet clinic & plans to become a vet. She studies hard. I will never forget the night that you left us. You fought a good fight with your illness, but you were always so wise. You knew when it was time & you went to her one last time to say good bye. I knew I couldn't bring you back even as I tried and she cryed. Even though it was hard for her, you gave her your last gift of love as you let her know she was who you wanted to be with as you left our world. We both still miss you. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, for all your love, for all your wisdom! We will never forget you! We love you!
