I chose this little furball because she was the runt of the litter. Right from the start she was very loving; wanting to sleep next to me, nuzzling in my hair and rubbing around my legs. She turned out to be very adaptive, as I moved numerous times-even to different states. As she continued to grow, I knew that I didn't want to ever be without her. Her intelligence and friendliness made everyone who met her love her.
Being an indoor/outdoor cat, I never dreamed she'd be with us for 18+ years. After being on medication for Hyperthyroidism for 4 years, she developed a cancerous tumor in her mouth. It would be only 1 week before she could hardly eat and we knew it was time. I couldn't bear the thought of her suffering. I was selfish in feeling that I didn't want her to go, but I knew I was doing the right thing.
We have many wonderful memories of our "Poopie" and she will live in our hearts forever.
