We wish for green pastures
For steams that never run dry
For space where we can let our spirits fly
We wish to have a person who loves us
A person who cares
A person who will save us no matter what the dare
We wish for a place to run to when we are afraid
A dry place to sleep
A good home to keep
But of all of these wishes one stands above them all
This wish is
No matter if we are old
No matter the color of our coat
No matter how fast we can run
That we will all be treated fairly
Until our time is done
