Goodbye
by Robyn Goinsalvos
Dear Nomar, We buried you on Saturday. It was a beautiful warm day here in NH. I had to wait until the ground thawed to lay you to rest. It was harder than I thought it would be since you have been gone for two months now. Toey was laying in the grass chewing on a tree branch while Daddy and I prepared your spot. I kept telling myself that it was just the body that housed your beautiful little soul. I placed your toys with you, your little fur mice & your metallic bird. I felt you there with us. I'm sure you were playing around in the yard. This is the time of year you loved. I'll miss watching you play with the grasshoppers in the front yard. I will always think of you and will forever miss you. You should have grown to be a wonderful old cat but you didn't. You were the best cat I have ever known and I will always love you. We put a nice piece of slate on top and I'll plant some pretty flowers when it gets warmer. Goodbye my little guy. I love you.
