Remember Amber
by Kylie Gray
Of flesh and of blood, Of muscle, strength, and sweat, Are your memories of Amber Make no time for regret The beauty of this horse Her eyes, coat, and hooves Hear a flowing mane and tail Whisper gently as she moves We ask why He took her, This precious, beloved soul. Feeling anger, then tearful That we shall never know She left to meet loved ones Who pass on before. Loved pets that watch over Met and guided her soul. Her memory it lingers As it should and always will In your dreams she will visit And nuzzle you still. One day in a future The time will be there When again you'll see your Amber Feel her breath on your skin Her head, it will rise, Your scent, she will smell And Amber will come running For she missed you as well.
