I just wanted to let you all know what has happened over the past few days.
Well you all know how sad I have been for the past five weeks ever since Squeeky had left and ran away. Well I have prayed to our Lord to please help me find her and I said all I wanted for my Birthday (which is today) was to get Squeeky back. Well prayers are answered, I did find her on Friday, I got a call that a cat fitting Squeeky's description was taken to Triangle Pet in Mc Kees Rocks. I left work at noon on Friday to find Squeeky. When I got the call I just knew my prayers were answered. I went into the place and the keeper told me she was a very sick cat.
I almost fainted when I went to the cage and found the cat was in a box. When I opened the box I found Squeeky was inside. I began to cry as she had lost so much weight and looked so sick. I immediately got her and called my vet and took her there. The entire trip to the vets office I kept my hand in the box petting her and talking to her she was just so so sick. I got to the vets and the techs said she looks like she had neuro problems as she was not standing. I thought oh well you wouldn't stand too if you were starving. Then the vet came in and said it was neuro and the prognosis didn't look good for Squeeky. Her legs were extended straight forward in front of her and as you tried to stand her up she just couldn't stand. It had also affected her back paws. The vet felt she had some sort of head trauma that had caused this. He suggested that I put her to sleep. I asked please isn't there anything you can do for her. He said there was a vet hospital in Cleveland I couldn't try them and see what they had to say. He called and said I was coming.
I left for Cleveland with Jery the entire trip up there I kept my hand in th box and kept petting Squeeky. I know she knew it was me as she kept moving her head next o my hand like she always did wanting me to rub her ears. She even found the strength to even lick her fur and clean herself like she always did. She finally fell asleep with my hand under her chin. She woke up off and on. Oh I forgot to mention in Pittsburgh at the vets she did take one seizure. It only lasted less than a minute but it was very scary to see this happen to Squeeky and know that there was nothing I could do for her. I love her so much. We finally got to Cleveland the people were so nice there. They immediately took Squeeky into the vet. I spoke to many people in the waiting room from all over and they all said this was an excellent place that if it was at all possible they would do the job and get Squeeky well. Finally the vet came out and I gave her all the details on Squeeky. She said Squeeky appeared to be a very sick cat. And it did appear to be neuro she wanted to take blood tests and she would need to stay the weekend I asked if she thought she could survive this and she said she didn't know the first and foremost thing to do was to try and get her a little stronger before they dealt with the neuro problem. I went out and bought Squeeky her favorite cat for Fancy Feast and it had to be sliced beef. I brought it back to the place and I was able to spend the next 10 minutes with Squeeky. However, this time when I got to hold her she just seemed to have drifted further away. She was really not at all full of any life. I held her and cried and cried and told her how much I love her and then I kissed her good bye and gave her back to the people who were going to hook her up to an iv and begin providing her around the clock care. It was an awful trip back to Pittsburgh but I kept praying Lord this is in your hand your will be done. Needless to say I didn't sleep much that night at 5:30 am I got up and called the vet hospital to see how she made it through the night. The tech told me they got her to eat twice but she wasn't moving at all and they had to move her around several times just to try and keep her comfortable. I asked if they saw any improvement and they said no. I asked about the seizures and they said she had one throughout the night. They told me to call back at 9:30 to take to the doctor as she makes rounds between 8 and 9:30. Well I called back at 9:30 only to be told that the doctor would call me back before noon. I asked the tech to go and check on Squeeky. She came back on the phone and said Squeeky was a very sick cat and that she was just laying there. I got off the phone and prayed for the Lord to help me make a right decision regarding Squeeky. Well at 11:00 the doctor called me back only to say that there was not improvement in Squeeky infact she was getting worse and that she was dying. She had several seizures that morning and that her pupils were no longer responding which was not a good sign. I asked the vet what I should do and she said that was my decision. I asked if she could come out of this and she said she doubted it. I was needless to say so sad and crying beyond able to talk. I asked the vet to please answer a personal question if it were your cat would you put her to sleep and she said yes. Well I told her I need a little time to think how I was going to do this. I got off the phone and called my mom, son and talked to them. I cried and cried I didn't want Squeeky to die. I then went and prayed what am I to do should I prolong her living like this or do I call up and just put her to sleep. I then decided to give Squeeky back to where she came from and return her to our Lord. I was not going to be selfish and keep her alive until I drove 2 and 1/2 hours the time had come for me to do a loving thing and I called and spoke to the vet and asked her to put Squeeky to sleep she said I made the best choice she explained what would be done and she promised me a nurse would hold her through the process but explained it would be painless it would be like she was going to sleep. I talked to the receptionist and we talked about cremation a private cremation where only Squeeky would be cremated and not other animals so I planned for that. Next I asked the receptionist to please do something for me, I had always thought Squeeky had the most beautiful tail it was long and bushy, I wanted her to clip some of her hair from her tail and place it in an envelope for me. She said she would. Well Squeeky has gone off to heaven, I am thankful that my prayers were answered and she was brought back to me and I was able to hold her for one last time and say my goodbye to her. I will always have love in my heart for this wonderful pet of mine and I have so many fond memories of her.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and showing that you all cared.

I just finished talking to the kind and caring family that found Squeeky. How this all happened was this girl was looking out her bedroom window and saw a cat on top of the hill. It was Squeeky, she was walking, then next thing that happened was the girl saw her fall over the hill. Her father called the police who in turn called the dog catcher. The dog catcher came and could not find Squeeky. The girls husband had a garden in the back yard and while he was working in it decided to look for the cat that had fallen. He was the one that found Squeeky and said that she was foaming at the mouth when he found her. He got a box and placed her in it and took her to the dog catcher which was 25 miles away. The dog catcher wanted to put Squeeky to sleep right away however, the man that found her said no I think I know who the owner might be. He went home and called another man that had lost his cat and only to find out it wasn't his cat. But this man remembered my posters and called me to tell me a cat of Squeeky's description was in the dog pound. I left work and that is when I found her. I honestly think that God had a big hand in all this he wanted Squeeky to return to me so I could make sure I knew where she was and to give her a final act of love by allowing her to go to sleep in dignity and not out in the woods where other animals would just have eaten her. I will miss my little girl so much and I love her.
