This Beauty of a Horse
by Amanda Guest
A golden glint passes by Fleeting hooves catch my eye Ears perked and tail flying It is only you and I As you run and hardly touch the groud I'm amazed at the beauty I have found And as you nicker quietly And turn your deep brown eyes on me I know I've found the special one Who'll stick by me and have some fun But also be the friend I need When no one else will stand by me Always faithful, always true I have a special friend in you And as I join you in your play You seem to have a special way Of lifting humor, heart and mind While laughing deep within your eyes As I wacth you fly over the ground Making a joyful, happy sound I know I love the friend I've found But when the time comes to say goodbye I'll look one last time to those deep deep eyes And thank you for taking care of me I love you from sea to shining sea Goodbye, the darling one I love Be strong as an eagle, gentle as a dove And until we see one another again I'll know that this is not the end.
