Missing Mia
by Sandra Gurrola
My sweetest kitty, every day that goes by I long to see your little face again. To feel you curl up next to me, and look at me, and purr. To call out "treat" and see you come running. To see you lay in your chair in the sun patch. Mia, I have another kitty here, and every day I wonder how did this happen-you are my baby-how can someone else be here? Mia, pleae be happy, find some new friends, there are some really special cats and dogs that are up there with you. You don't have to be lonely. I wish I could be with you sweetie, but its not time for me yet, Savanna needs me. You remember her, jumping on the bed when you just wanted to sleep. You would look disgusted and get up and leave. But you know, she told me you were her favorite kitty, can you believe that? Theres a photo of you from the old days in California on my wall, you were stretching next to the heater, you looked so happy and healthy. I hope thats how you feel now baby. Remember I love you, and will be with you again. Love, Mommy
