My story begins with my beautiful Sheltie named Shana, who we called Shana Girl. She passed on July 18, 1999 and in my grief, a friend gave me this website. I was hurting so much one evening that I decided to go on "Chat" but the "Loss" line had already ended so I went on to "Animal Talk". I met two other people who had also lost their dear animals. After some chatting, one of the people left and so "Lacy" and I began to chat further. We found out that both our pets passed away from Kidney failure. We then found out that we both use to live in the same state. She had eventually moved to another state but her brother, in turned out, lived in the same town that my husband and I had originally moved from. We knew the same places to eat and enjoy in that town. It was getting to be a strange coincidence. After further discussion, we both found out that we were 1 year apart in our ages. It was just too much of a coincidence! We then found out that we both had the same business background and both loved the same rock artist and had gone to see this person 4 times in concert! It was just unbelievable. We both consoled ourselves in the fact that this was definitely a sign from our dear departed animals and that it was meant for us to meet. It was just too much of a coincidence. At this point, we have become "internet" friends and have been consoling each other since. It began as a grief session for both of us but has ended in a nice relationship through this wonderful website.
