Always Together At Home
by Paul Jialanella
ALWAYS TOGETHER AT HOME Death is nothing at all I've not slipped away afar, But am where I have always been Right there in our home. Life is more than that we lived, It's where we've been and go; It's who we are and those we've Loved along our way. I am I, and you are you. The bond we've known and shared Endures and lives forever: For we are we and will always be. Pray, smile, think often of me Why should I be out of mind Because I am out of sight? Nay, I am I and will ever be! Pray, smile, think often of me Always my name a household word Allow no difference in your tone, Speak the easy ways I know. Pray, smile, think often of me Call me by familiar names Without a trace of sorrow Speak the easy ways I know. Pray, smile, think often of me Speak the easy ways I know Without a trace of shadow, Say the things I know. Pray, smile, think often of me Know the easy way I speak: I am waiting, in a brief interval, Right here in our home. Love's unbroken continuity; All still as it ever was! For all is well we are we, And this we will forever be. In Loving Memory of Chuckles: An adaptation of 'In the Next Room' by Canon Henry Scott Holland by Paul and Sarah
