Tippy was a sassy, in your face, wonderful Boston Terrier. I lost her today at 13 1/2 years old. They say she had a long life for her breed, but it wasn't long enough for me... I have no idea what I'll do without her unconditional love and sense of humor. She ruled the house, and knew it. I adopted her when an elderly lady in our building passed away. She was around 3-4 years old at the time. She brightened my life in so many ways. She had a thyroid problem and skin condition that she lived with for several years. The last few months she kept getting weaker. This last week was particularly bad and her walking and eatting were affected. She finally had a choking attack last night and I took her to the emergency vet. By this morning they had her on a respirator and didn't know how long she would last or what quality of life she would have. I decided to end her suffering and stayed with her at the end, which came much too quickly. I think these past few weeks, she knew what was happening to her. I wish I realized sooner and wasn't so preoccupied. I want to remember her for her love and kindness.
