Kato the Chow Chow ~ 10.15.1994 ~ 5.24.2002
In January 1994, during a snow storm, Jeff got a call from his sister, Michelle, who was directing an animal shelter in Central Pennsylvania. She knew that a puppy dog was being searched for. Four hours later, Jeff was at Michelle's house. The next day, Jeff met Kato, a three month old, 11 pound lovely puppy dog Chow Chow.
She was taken home to Easton, PA, where she was raised by Jeff and Tom. She was a lovely, sweet spirited puppy, who grew into a beautiful young lady. She loved to chase birds, eat bugs, and have her tummy rubbed. Her favorite treat, besides her "cookies" was filet mignon, ironically, her last meal.
At age 7 1/2, Kato succumbed to Cancer. She was diagnosed and had to be put to sleep within a few days. Her sweet, gentile spirit will be sadly missed.
"Being owned by a Chow is God's way of teaching humility"
Goodbye our beloved, sweet spirit. May you catch all the birds and bugs you desire in heaven. Someday we'll meet again!
We will treasure you always....
