Sundance passed away at a young age, he was a wonderful and faithful dog who will always be remembered fondly and with love. Minew was a wonderful feline who arrived at our home so many years ago. She died at the age of 18, we love her and miss her still. Barney was our dog who was with us for 17 years. He was faithful and protective of us, we will never forget him. Albie, a feline who brought havok into our home, was part of our family for 12 years. His crazy antics and wonderful, loving nature will always be in a special place in our hearts.
Lastly, to the many Hamsters who came into our home. Some lived for several years, others, sadly, died young. Each one of them was an individual with their own personality who will never be forgotten.
This short poem is dedicated to all the animals that have come into my life and left their mark in my heart and on my soul.
You all better be getting along and behaving at the Bridge!!!!
" Guess now who holds thee?"
" Death," I said.
But there, the silver answer rang- " Not Death, but Love."
Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861)
