"You Were There"
by Jeanette Marshall
“You Were There” Your love was of the deepest kind, Your attention never wavered. And even though you loved us all, Still each of us felt favored. I knew the Lord gave you to me, as well as me to you – He saw your heart so full of love, and it was then He knew ... that no one else could give the care, the love, and the devotion That you gave me, unselfishly, with deeply felt emotion. And even though I miss you so, and long to feel you pet me – You need to know I had to go, and knew that you would let me. As painful as it was for you, and difficult to bear, I needed you, to see it through - As always - "you were there". Don't let the love you have to give stay hidden deep inside you. In memory of me, set others free ... from neglect, they'll come alongside you! --- I love you, Mommy. "Samantha"
