On Monday morning I let both of my
dogs out as usual. Our yard is large and neither ever wandered.Weedle the older
dog always looked out for Pud the Dachshund. They were inseperable. I heard Pud
yelp and when I got to her she was completely covered in a swarm of ground
bees. I ran, trying to get her to run but she was insisting on trying to get in
the door.I watched in horror as the ground bees repeatedly stung her.I tried to
pick her up to run only to be stung numerous times myself.I was horified.I was
able to get her to run around to where I could get the water hose and spray
them off. But, by this time she had been severly stung and me too.I raced to the
vet who gave her an injection but only weighing in at 14 lbs, by nightfall the
venom was too much for her tiny body to bear. I have lost my best friend in the
world.I only pray this tragedy never happens to anyone like it happened to me.I
watched in horror and will never forget.God Bless you Bud I love you so much.
