The Holes In My Heart
by Elizabeth McFarland
The first hole in my heart came when my beautiful calico Persian had to be put down due to Feline Lukemia on Nov. 29, 1996. She loved me while I cried prior to her being taken by the Veterinarian to put her to sleep forever. The second hole in my heart came when my Precious Simba, my rescuer after Tinker Bell passed on to the Rainbow Bridge, a beautiful Red Tabby and White Persian, left me for the Rainbow Bridge, during a minor procedure in my Veterianrians office on March 27, 1999. The third hole in my heart came when my Sweet, Darling, Kissy girl Teah, a beautifu Cream Point Himalayan, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on March 3, 2000, due to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. I never got to tell Simba and Teah how much they were loved, but I prey they knew, and that they will be all playing together and waiting for Kiara and Dusty, Teah's half-sisters that also have the dreadful hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I am making sure that Kiara and Dusty know how much love there is for them while I can. I prey that one day we will all be together again loving and playing as we did in the past, and that I join all my furbabies again in the future.
