A Sweet Neighbor - Ian
by Kelly Milam
About two years ago, my husband came home from jogging and said, "you will never believe who I just met!" He had met one of our new neighbors - two beautiful Corgi's, her name was Kelsey and his name was Ian. Of course I wanted to meet these two pups, as my father in law has a Corgi - Katy, and I had fallen in love with the breed. We went to see them, and Ian and Kelsey, and their human mom welcomed us into their new home. What a little gentleman he was, sweet and friendly. His mom told us that Ian was a bit of a "lounge lizard" - and lounge he did. Kelsey was very social, and wanted to meet and greet us, and run in and out. Ian was very happy to lay there and let everyone dote on him, giving him attention and pets. Over the last few years, my husband would be on his jogging route, and would be greeted by Ian and Kelsey, and later on their new sister Chelsea. A few weeks ago, he commented that he had not seen Ian in a long time. He saw one of Ian's "humans" who told Steve that Ian had passed away due to cancer. About a year ago, we took Katy over to meet Ian and Kelsey, and Steve took pictures of all them. He got some really great shots of Ian, and we gave them to his mom. I'm glad we did. I'm glad too, that Boz is there now at Rainbows Bridge with her neighbor Ian, and they are both happy and healthy and lounging in the sunshine.
