A wonderful dog, the most faithful friend
Loyal and true, right to the end.
His knowing look, his canted head
It's hard to accept, our Sheppy is dead.
I can see his face, with eyes so bright
I grieve all day, and mourn all night.
I miss him so much, the grief is immense.
Life and death, just doesn't make sense.
Never in the past, have I felt such grief
The level of which, is beyond belief.
He did not whimper, he did not whine
Any pain that he carried, is now part of mine.
To have loved with no limit, cannot be a sin
Though it feels that it is, from the pain that I'm in.
A future without him, now that he's gone
But in my heart, his memory lives on.
My friend - a soulmate, much more than a pet
as long as I live,......... I SHALL NOT FORGET
