I chose you when you were a kitten, and you gave me many years of joy.
You made me laugh each time, you would play with your little toys.
You slept by my head as a kitten, and purred your beautiful sound.
You gave me twelve years of love, I was happy you were around.
You moved with me so many times, but you always knew it was home.
I was always there with you, you never had to be alone.
I think you had a happy life, you knew you would always be in my heart
Now I've had to say good-bye, that was the hardest part.
I held you in my arms, as they told me what I already knew.
It was the hardest decision, but I knew what I had to do.
I held you tight so you weren't alone, In a matter of seconds, I knew you were gone.
So I write these words, for my beautiful pet, one I won't soon,
be able to forget!
