Angel was the only chick who survived when my Husband was called to get the family of Starlings out of the walls of a house. All the other chicks had already died and the Mama flew away, so he brought Angel home. She was so sweet with her big yellow mouth crying for food. We bought her a special baby bird diet, pads to keep her warm, syringes to feed her. She ate well the lst two days, then took a turn for the worse. I think she may have needed a heating pad. She grew weaker & weaker and today she went to Rainbow Bridge to be with her siblings. She is buried in a pretty box with a pretty hankerchief & pretty flowers. Me and my daughter both cried. Such a fragile, precious little life and we could not keep her alive. I have heard it is not the outcome but rather the effort that matters. Though the outcome was hard for us, I know we did the best we could. We miss you sweet Angel. You will not be forgotten. You were only a baby bird, but you changed our lives in ways we will never forget. We will see you someday at Rainbow Bridge. Linda & Amy Lin love you & miss you.
