I recieved Rocky as a Christmas present from my boyfriend(who is now my husband)17 years ago. I am now 34 and of all the Christmas presents I have recieved over the years he was the best one I ever got. In the last 2 months Rocky had lost most of the use of his back legs, so when he wanted to go out to do his thing I had to carry him out and hold him up to help him go to the potty. I always felt it was my job as his Mommy to help him in any way that I could till the end. On Nov. 23rd I had come to realize I had to make that most painful choice, he needed to be put to sleep. I had made arrangements to do it the next day, crying and sobbing all night long. That morning I sat down beside him petting and talking to him, telling him how wonderful heaven was going to be and that he would be able to run and play again with his friends that had passed before him. Rocky gave me one last gift before he left my life, within 20 min. of me setting down beside him he passed on to Rainbow Bridge. He barked 3 times before he left, maybe telling me I Love You or telling me Good-Bye, either way Thank You my beloved Rocky for going on your own and letting me be beside you when you left me for Rainbow Bridge, be happy and wait for me. Love Your Mommy Jackie
