Liza
by Heidi Peterson
This is for Liza, who came to us as a stray in the Fall of 1992. She passed away on January 11, 2001. She was the sweetest and gentlest cat I have ever known. She never could meow, she just kind of whispered. I can still hear her. We will never forget you, Liza...You came to us of your own free will. It was an honor that you chose our home. You brought us years of joy and happines, and broke our hearts when you passed away. We do not understand why you were taken from us this way, but we must accept that it was your time to go. Wait for us, Liza, at the Rainbow Bridge. We'll be together again someday. You will always be loved and sadly missed by your family, until we meet again.
