Animals touch your heart in special ways,
Hours without them, seem like days.
Sometimes were not strong enough to let them go,
It's only because you love them so.
How come God takes them away?
You ask that question to this day.
If I could only spend with them one more day,
I'd touch them as they touched me in that special way.
