This is a story about a Lab mix dog named Maxwell. We meet Max many years ago when building our home in Calif. He used to come over on the weekends when we came up working on our home we were building. He was a friendly guy that loved to play. We didn't have a dog at the time and we called him our weekend dog. When we moved to our new home we had got a dog of our own named Ruby. Ruby and Max became great friends and he would be at our house more than his own. He would come over all the time to eat cookies and play. But Max was getting up in years and then I lost Ruby and he didn't like coming over anymore. We got a new puppy and he didn't like her at all. She was to playful for him. I would see him on the road all the time and I always had cookies for him. He would take the cookie from me and take it home. Just the other day I seen his daddy he told me that Max was missing for 4 days. He did make it back home but wasn't in good shape at all. So they decided to put him to sleep. I wanted to go and say goodbye to Max but it was to late. So this is my way of saying goodbye to him. He will be missed but my whole family. I will miss his bark at night time also. He was loved by everyone in the neighborhood. But now he is with his old friend Ruby. I'm sure they are playing again like they used to. NO more pain for either one of them.
