My Belle
by Melissa Reagle
Yesterday afternoon, on August 8th, 200, our family lost one of it's most treasured members. Our sweet bunny Belle passed on to the next reality after a sudden illness. Despite knowing in our hearts that he is free and feeling good, the tears won't end. Our Belle was an older bunny who had a very full life. He traveled all over the country & lived in 5 different states. He appeared in a play & a film and was an overall rock star. His favorite things included timothy hay, honey sticks, carrots, carrot juice, broccoli, cereal, Bugles, popcorn, bananas, tortilla chips & crackers, his brother Leary's dog food, his Grandpa's expensive photography books (yummy paper to eat!), laying on people's bellies, having his cheeks rubbed, chasing other animals, playing with Leary-dog and listening to the Grateful Dead. All of our friends thought he acted more like a dog than a bunny--- he showed no fear & never ending affection. We feel a horrible loss, but we know he's feeling bliss now, hopping full-speed ahead in a wide open field filled with all his favorite things. Much love & thanks to all of you who have given us so much love & positive energy through this sad time. Belley-boy, Biddy, Boonie, Bun-bun, Bidrow, Eater Cottontail: Thnak you for all yuu gave us. We love you forever.
