Pup A Do
by Michelle Rhodes
Pup A Do Wop A Do Wop A Do Wop A Do, I am so sorry. I miss you so much. Yesterday Daddy and I came home and there was no barking Puppy. Bess and Maggie were sound asleep and didn't even hear us come in. That quiet had us crying and hugging in the living room missing you so much. Bess misses you. When Daddy and I were taking care of your earthly remains, she sat by you and just kept sniffing you and she would walk away and turn around to see if you were coming. When we were done, Bess laid down next to your grave and wouldn't move when we called. Last night, I was talking to one of the kittens and Bess was on the bed with Daddy, and he said that Bess perked up thinking I was talking to you. When I came in by myself, Bess just sighed and put her head back down. Daddy and I have been rememebering good times with you. Like when you were just a little pup and we would put you on top of Jessie and you would look like a tiny flea on that big white Pyr. Or the many sets of furniture you ate. The super glue incident. Or the tape cassette incident. I missed you this morning. I missed you getting up on the bed and sleeping next to me after Daddy went to work. I sang your song this morning, Do a little dance, make a little noise, jump on the bed. I was waiting for you to come running in. I am so sorry Puppy. I failed you and I miss you. But at least you and Jessie are together again. Say hi to Sabastain and Dowgie too. Grandma is there to, I hope you find each other, just don't push Sabastain away. Bye Puppy, I love you, Momma
