A month or so before Christmas, my parents always asked (and still do) me what I want for a gift. When I was ten, I begged for a puppy. But of course they quickly laughed that idea off. I tried to convince my fifteen year old brother to tell me what I was getting, and he just giggled, but never told me! We spend every Christmas Eve, at my grandparents house, and exchange presents there. The last gift that was left under the tree was for me! I opened it and to my surprise, it was a box of dog treats. I told everyone that it was a mean joke to play on a kid who wanted a puppy so badly! And somehow through all the confusion, my father and my brother came from outside with the cutest puppy you ever saw!! A beautiful sandy-colored cocker spaniel.....so I named her Sandy! I can honestly say without hesitation, that she was by far the best gift I have ever gotten. I will miss you Sandy, and I love you!!
