We bow our heads - For a Mighty Queen Has Passed
by Sandi Schreiber
We bow our heads - For a Mighty Queen Has Passed We bow our heads - remembering the day you came into our lives and hearts We bow our heads - your leaving us has now torn and tattered those lives and hearts We bow our heads - remembering that even at your sickest - no matter how many times we went and came - you always patiently waited at your spot by the door while your brother and sister had to get all the attention until it was time for you We bow our heads - for you will never wait again We bow our heads - remembering how many Thanksgivings you gallantly guarded the turkey until it was time to eat We bow our heads - for you will never guard again We bow our heads - remembering that for 17 years, we could reach out and comfort you during the night or you would kiss away Mommy's teardrops We bow our heads - knowing we can never comfort you again and no one will be there to kiss Mommy's tears away We bow our heads - remembering how Mommy watched you die We bow our heads - remembering the hardest phone call Mommy ever had to make - Daddy, it's time, come home and get us We bow our heads - remembering our goodbyes for the final time We bow our heads - the loss of your leaving is so great upon us We bow our heads - the tears that flow are so mighty and heavy We bow our heads - knowing that someday we will all be together again We bow our heads - for until then, princess We bow our heads - FOR A MIGHTY QUEEN HAS PASSED To Our Daisy (1/81 - 11/20/98) - We will Miss and Love You Always Love, Your Mommy and Daddy
