That Distant While
by James Shiver
It was time for me to go I know you wish it wasn't so And I do too, for you see I know how much you loved me And I loved you; it was my desire To please you and show my entire Devotion was to my family dear You had my best while I was here But God called, I had no choice I know you'll miss my happy voice But I'll be where the fields are green And I'll romp and play and remember and dream Of the day you'll join me; I know you will I'll see you coming over the hill And we'll meet and hug and roll and play Oh! It will be such a happy day So look to then but till that time Let sweet memeories help you find The strength and faith to know that I'll See you in that distant while
