Chereby Benjamin Luke

Benji: 13 April 1985 - 13 May 2001 You came into my life when I was sad, Brightened my days and made me glad. 16 years of friendship shared, When no-one was there, I knew you cared. With Sherry too, we lived and played, It's five years since she went away And now together with her you'll be - At the Rainbow Bridge you'll wait for me. Full pedigreed you were, yet never flaunted. Other cats shared your home, but you weren't daunted. You taught me to love the Birman breed And now thirteen of them I feed! In England's land we both were born, But Australia's sun has kept us warm, With all the new life she brought with her - An 'Aussie twang' to your miaow and purr! You'd come to meet me at the door, On my hand you'd often place your paw; And when I sat in any chair You'd jump up behind me, just to be there. I'll never regret the day you came. You gave me love, my cattery its name: In honour of you, I called it 'Shenji' From my first two cats, Sherry and Benji. Rest in peace, forever purring, my 'BJ'.
