A PERMANENT STAIN
I kissed you to heaven that evil of nights
Time, a bleaker, still moment hath not,
As bright crimson tears bled profusely from eyes,
A promise, you'd not be forgot.
Remembrances constant, as sadly approaches
One year that death forced himself here,
Upon this most valuable life, oh so short,
Would give up all, to spare her that fear.
One kindness that death gave so generous,
The relinquishment of all of her pain,
At times, it seems mine's here to stay as
My heart wears a permanent stain.
