My kitten Erica is my best friend. I
needed her so much after my cat Wobbie died and went on to the Rainbows
Bridge. One day I came home from work to find Erica looking at a
photograph of Wobbie. I called her to come to me but she just wanted to
be left alone. She seemed very withdrawn and depressed. She did not want
to eat or play. I held her in my arms and we both fell asleep. Soon
after we fell asleep, a cat angel appeared in my room and took Erica in
her paws and explained to us that she was taking Erica to a place called
Rainbows Bridge to help her. I had heard of this place and I had hoped
that was where Wobbie was. Once Erica got there she was introduced to
the great King of Cats who was kind, gentle and helped cats and kittens
who were ill and passed away because there was nothing veterinarians
could do to restore them back to health. The King of Cats told Erica
that her brother Wobbie was with him in the Rainbows Bridge. Erica was
so excited to see him. Wobbie knew about his new sister Erica and he had
told all his Rainbows Bridge friends about her and me. Erica and Wobbie
met each other and were very happy to see each other. They went running
and playing in the rainbow colored sunshine. At first they were both so
happy and then they stopped running and playing and realized that
something was not right. Wobbie and Erica missed me. Erica assured
Wobbie that I was fine and told him how I wear a Rainbows Bridge pin to
remind her of you. Erica told him that she is looking out for me and not
to worry. The King of Cats told Erica that Rainbows Bridge has a special
angel who realized that Erica needed to be treated immediately for
depression. Erica asked the King of Cats if Wobbie could come back with
him to their owner. The King explained that Wobbie would not survive
back on earth since the Rainbows Bridge allows Wobbie to remain healthy
and free of sickness. Erica did not understand Rainbows Bridge. The King
of Cats explained that Rainbows Bridge is a special place that exists so
cats like Wobbie can continue to look down on their owners and live on
to play with other cats, play in the warm sunshine and have special food
and water. The King gave Wobbie and Erica Rainbows Bridge pins. On the
back of Erica's pin it read to my dear sister, love Wobbie. On the back
of Wobbie's it read to my dear brother, Love Erica. Wobbie told Erica to
give a pin to me and it said I Love you Mom, Love Wobbie. The King gave
Erica a special collar and attached both pins to it. Erica was already
feeling better and comming out of the depression. Erica loved playing in
the Rainbows Bridge with the other cats. The cat angel was waiting at
the golden gate at the end of the rainbow for Erica. It was time for
Erica to come home to me. Wobbie told Erica how lucky she is to have an
owner like me and how special I am. Wobbie told Erica how I took such
good care of him until the very end. The cat angel told Wobbie and Erica
that some day they would all be together in the Rainbows Bridge when
they all go to heaven by Rainbows Bridge. Erica closed her eyes and left
Rainbows Bridge. When we woke up Erica was licking my face then I
noticed the rainbow pins on her collar. Erica was very
affectionate, playful, and content. I knew that somehow she had met her
brother Wobbie on the Rainbows Bridge. Erica and I both knew that Wobbie
was always watching us on the Rainbows Bridge and happy that we had each
other. Rainbows Bridge.com granted permission to use the name Rainbows
Bridge.
