I lost my dog, Vern two weeks before christmas. Someone was in our yard, earlier that day and I didn't check the gate to see if it was opened before I let the dogs out. Well Vern, decided to go for a stroll and got hit by a car. His whole back end was broke and there was nothing that we could do. After Vern got hit, it was hard for my mother and i to walk in that house. Vern was always happy to see us when we came home, but he wasn't there. I miss him so much. My boyfriend recently bought me a puppy, but he just doesn't compare to Vern. I keep asking for a sign that Vern is still with us, but haven't gotten any. I only wish that my other puppy was like Vern. He was the best. When he was a pup, he was the neighbor behind us dog. One day he came over to play with my other dog, Anna and dropped. He was extremly dehidrated. Considering the fact that he knew that we saved his life, he was very good to us. God do I wish he would've stayed in the yard, like my other dog. Anna knows not to go beyond the gate, but Vern was always so daring, he must've thought that he was invinsible or something. My mom gave me his napkin that he had when he was bleeding. I still have that and his blanket that he had to sleep with everynight. Vern thought that he was human, he slep with his paws crossed, his head propped up on the arm of the chair and his blanket. God do I wish him.
