It will be a year February 10 that my first guy crossed over,"Boy ewas aproximatly 8, an Akita/Old English mix that was rescued from a collector. He had a tough life and for the 3 years he was in my life,he was a sweet gentle soul. "Boy loved cookies and cuddling.I was able togive him love he never had, and on the 10th of February he had a massive stroke, with love and tears I sent him home thru the gentle hand of Our Vet.
February 20, my constant companion of almost nine years suffered aortic stenosis, and died in my arms, the same arms that had delivered him.
Harlyn was a gentle giant of a German Shepard, standing 29 inches at the shoulder and weighing over a hundred pounds.Harlyn loved all creatures, and was generally loved by all, especially by the Wolf German Shepard who raised him, We both miss you very much, Son of one.
Mothers Day marked the 3rd of my boys to leave me. I had rescued Rockie 3 years prior, he had been beaten and starved, and was scared to the point of fearbiting. Rock overcame his injuries, and fear and was a ninety pound German Shepard puppy until his hips and kidneys gave out.
Sampson wasn't mine, but was my boys friend, he was diagnosed Feburary 21,2000 with terminal cancer, he survived removal of a 5 pound tumor, but passed over to be with his friends July 21, 2000.
I miss each one of my fellows, and as it nears a year, I cry more and more. I wear their ashes around my neck, just to have them close. They were all magnificent creatures who filled my life and all those they touched with love.
