YOUR ESSENCE
by SANDY WANTUCH
Your hair is all over me It clings to my clothes It lays on the carpet and the furniture It's sprinkled in the cars Your scent is all over me It lingers on your pillows It's in the bedroom It hangs in the living room Your food bowl &water dish are in their place Your medicine is still in the bottle Your brush, your boots, your tags Pictures of you Everything remains the same Everywhere I look, It screams your name Every thought I think is of you Your memory is all around me This house extrudes your essence But the sparkle, the light isn't there You are gone
