Patton, I Hope it Ended Well
by Glenn West
My Dearest Patton, You were taken from my life, used as a cruel advantage to my feelings, but the 4 years you were with me, you were my padna' and a help through those difficult days. You would be 22 this spring, which is very old for a miniture schnauzer, so i believe you have gone on to the fields of Rainbow Bridge. I think of you often but finally, after all these 17 years, i have let another loving dog/child come into my life. I have made sure that I will be able to be with her always, until one of us goes to the bridge. I know being with mama T was best for her because the break up was bad, but she was not strong and you had to be strong for her, but I never dreamed she would never let me see you again, just to hurt me. I know you will cross over the bridge with mama T, but you can come see me and my new furbaby Suzi. You and Suzi have the same temperment. She is like you, she loves her mommie, but her daddy is the lap she wants to be in. Litta Padna, hope to see you in the fields of Rainbow bridge. Love Daddy
