my heart is to my doggy butch!
by justin cooper
my dog butch was four years old. very shy when i got him. he was a brown lab and he had this chin and nose that would make you wanna bite it. i got him when he wa four from my father's job. my father had seen how the little kids treated him pulling his ears, wrestling around with him, the whole nine. so he asked the owner if he could have him. and the owner said fine take that manging mutt!!! how rude. well that day when my father brought butch home he was scared and relieved at the same time! he was very friendly and he knew all kinds of tricks. roll over, play dead, paw, other paw, sit, speak! he was so adorable. he was depressed from being away from his owner. but after a while he got used to his chiuawa sister chica! he loved her soooooo much. butch always used to sleep with her. it was soooo cute just seeing butch wrap his big big arms around a little tiny body all snugled up to him. a month after i had butch he loved me and everyone else in the familiy. very friendly and concerned on how everyone was. butch and i played in the huge 3 acre back yard of mine all the time. for having a 3 acre yard at the age of 13 im lucky!!!!!! butch and i always ran together and played fetch, and sat in the grass. now i only had butch for 4 months. so i had him mostly in the summer. we ate together and slept together. me him and chica the little doggy ran around and butch used to sit outside and just look at me and say "justin please let me off my chain so i can play"!! so i did it. and man was he happy.butch had a very special place in my heart.butch was the most daring dogs i have ever seen. but one weekend on a rainy summer day i got back from summer school and i looked in the back yard butch and chica were gone. so after panicing my mom and dad called the pound and come to find out they were there. both dogs had walked to a differentcity only a half hour away. amazing how they sticked together. but after a couple months of that became, let me say the saddest time in my life. chica had ran away and butch was sitting there barking his brains out. chica wasnt there. we had called the pound and she was never found not even until this day! and this has happened recently in october. after a couple weeks my father took butch outside when he was raking the leaves. now hint: we live near a busy busy road. now my father was raking the leaves and all of a sudden booooooooooooooom! a car had screeched. i looked out the window and i saw butch lying at the side of the road motionless. my father ran inside and called the pound to take him away because he was at least 80 pounds or more.i went outside and swore the people out and they left cold hearted. i didnt care but i sat with butch until the animal control had came. he died instantly att he age of four. his life was getting back to normal and he had just gotten used to us. that stunk badly. i sat with butch bawling my eyes out and just petting him. he lied there eyes closed looking content. i knew he went to heaven. the animal control took him and buried him ina pet semetary that i havent visited yet but i will in the summer.i still havent gotten over it. even 3 months after its happened. there isnt a day that i dont talk about butch and chica. god is shure lucky because butch is running around with a tennis ball with a hallow around him. i hope he really is happy. im glad that he didnt have to suffer like some dogs do when they get hit. butch will always have aplce in my heart. i am on a search for chica because my dad has a feeling that she isnt dead soemone stole her. but if i ever do find her she will try to figure why butchy isnt here anymore. they were close. he was very misserable in his last days with me. without her life was meaningless! but since i found the rainbow bridge butch has a residency. look under justin cooper's butch and you will find his residency. in loving memory of; BUTCH COOPER 1996-2000 BABY YOU WILL LIVE ON!!!
