Midge-
We went in to the store to get a bird and then the entire
family was drawn to a little white puff sitting quietly in
her cage. After the person at the store let us play with you,
we were no longer interested in a bird. Some of the best times
in my life were walking with you in the fields, playing punchcard,
and falling asleep next to you many a nights. When you started to
get older, I think we grew even closer. We walked slower together
but we still walked..together. I can't tell you how many times
just a thought of you would make my day okay. When you started
to have trouble walking, hearing and seeing it was tough for me
to watch. I wanted so much to take the pain from you, I would
have my friend, if I could have. But you didn't complain, you just
continued to do what you have always done best...give love.
I know your running freely now and someday we will run together
once again. When people ask who or what was a major inspiration
in my life, the answer will be you. Kisses and hugs my sweet midge,
and know you will never be forgotten- D
