my very best friend from so long ago
stole my heart, how i loved him so
apon the street his blood did spill
and the angel of death recieved his kill
a simple walk that would end in tears
a thing i thought could only happen in my deepest fears
the man showed no remorse as he drove on by
while my friend was badly bleeding and i struggled not to cry
half a mile away is where my house stood
his body was limp in my arms, while i carried him as far as i could
i was so close to home when he took his last breath
and his eyes slowly closed as he was carried into death
when i came out of my daze his body was gone
his memorie was left by blood on the lawn
to this day i cry over my friend
but he will live in my heart until we meet again
