laura and billy were my two staffies who were mother and son, laura died when billy and his litter was 2 weeks old, it broke our heart. she was 3 years old. me and my hubby hand reared billy and the litter, we owed it to laura to make sure her babies were ok. they all grew to be healthy pups so we decided to keep our billy as a reminder of laura. now billy, what a boy, at 1 year old, he was knocked down by a bus and survived, jumped off a 20 foot bridge, and survived. nearly drowned.i beleived laura was watching over him all these times. then on august 2001 billy absconded from the garden and after 10 mins i found him, lying dead on the road, he had been run over and the driver never even stopped to move him from the road. he was 3 years old, laura must have had a day off that day. we were devistated especially my 5 year old son, they were the best of friends, i started to think i didnt deserve the trust of dogs when i lost both mother and son. but on the bright side i have Leah, billys older sister and lauras 1st born and recently we got heidi a luvvable rottie, our lives are no longer empty, its true time is a healer, but u never forget, but then again we never want to forget, do we?
